Hello and Welcome to Roy Lumber

 

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our company and our products. My partner, Scott Roy, and I are the third generation of Roys here at Roy Lumber. Our grandfather, Avery Roy, founded the business in 1947. He started building the business during WWII by finding and reselling items that were unavailable to the public because of the war effort. After Grandaddy’s death, his two sons continued the business. Today, we are still in the same location in Bessemer, Alabama.

 

Through the years, our business has changed with the times. With the growth of ‘lumber department stores,’ the days of the old city lumberyard are gone. That’s why we’ve moved in the direction of structural millwork. We manufacture all types of patterns of wood siding, paneling, ceiling, and flooring, as well as, cedar and cypress beams and antique woods. We hope you enjoy browsing our site!
